For the second straight year, New York Mets star shortstop Francisco Lindor is taking home an impressive piece of hardware. Lindor, who was nominated as a finalist for National League MVP, won his second consecutive Silver Slugger Award on Tuesday.

Francisco Lindor appears to be offering the Mets front office a bit of help in going after this offseason’s biggest free agent. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Mets have “gotten a hand” from the shortstop and he has “taken a role in recruiting Soto.”
